Laurence C. Johnson, Jr.
Principal, Johnson Jones Architects Planners, Inc.
Laurence obtained his bachelor of Architecture from Hampton University and is licensed to practice architecture in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He is a second-generation architect with the firm, co founded by his father, and resides in Trenton NJ. Some of the more notable local projects that Laurence has had the privilege to participate in include the renovations to the New Jersey State House Complex, and the Marriott at Lafayette Yard, both in Trenton, New Jersey. Larry Johnson is married to Marion, an educator and is the proud father of three children. He lives in Trenton, NJ.

Shawn Venkat
co-owner - Local Wisdom
Local Wisdom is an interactive media company specializing in designing and developing web sites. Incorporated in 2000, the company is working with such clients as Johnson & Johnson and Berlitz International. Shawn is married to Phoebe a marketing specialist at Merrill Lynch and is soon to be a proud father. He lives in Hamilton, NJ.

Shawn Venkat is also the founder of Venkat Foundation, a non-profit organization focusing on helping support educational programs in the U.S. and abroad. Venkat Foundation has embraced Science Mentors under their umbrella 501(c)3.

The following supporters deserve an enormous shout out. The only repayment they ever want are students whose lives have been affected in a positive way through the participation in our mentor programs. Those listed are engaged in the present day re-rejuvenation of our program. I don’t have enough paper to list all those who have been there for us for the past fifteen years.
