I am 99% sure you’ll be entertained and leave with a grin from ear to ear… Do you know that young people’s number one deprivation is Adult Attention?  Our students need you “grownups” to celebrate them.

Dear Friends of High School Students,

In January 2011, I happily learned that Mr. Marc Maurice was to be the new principal at TCHS. My personal experience working with him was positive. The second semester of last year, he dedicated to restoring order in the school. FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION is the underlying theme for his approach.

This fall, our determined principal encouraged the testing of creative ideas. I was pleased to be included. Despite my imperfections, there are successes to highlight thanks to the working relationships I have with Mr. Dave Cipolloni, Mr. Mark Peroni, Mr. Scott Sorrentino, Ms. Monica Morris and Mr. Johnny Pollock These Career and Technology Education teachers are a driving force for this new education push.

Another initiative is a partnership with Princeton Plasma Physics to offer hands-on Lab experiments for twelve of our best and brightest. Each Thursday two young physicists, Stephanie Wissell & Aliya Merali arrive to work with students chosen by Ms. Nicole Hamlet, a dedicated Honors Biology Teacher.

Alive and well is the 16 year old experiential non-profit mentor program. We are honored to work with TCHS students. Dedicated volunteer adults have again agreed to mentor ScienceMentors high school students. Together they tackle environmental problems through the scientific method.

In addition, the very popular Robotics Program has returned and is being led by the award winning and talented Dave Cipolloni and his team, Mr. West, Mr. Schmidt and Sarnoff Corporation’s Mr. Hurst.

Tip of the hat to Ms. Burks for her dedicated professional hospitality, Ms. Woolf for excellent coaching, and to Ms. Wellons, our skilled TCHS administrator, who patiently responds to myriad requests.

I am one grateful woman because I am able to participate in this Hands On Minds On Eduation Mission

On February 4th, 2011 ScienceMentors 1 to 1  held a ‘Meet the Volunteers Breakfast’. Special guests included Congressman Rush Holt Trenton Superintendant Ray Broach and THS Principal Marc Maurice.
